Overview
Every sale you log in Selly has a status that reflects where it is in the fulfillment process. Keeping statuses up to date gives you an accurate view of what’s actually been fulfilled versus what’s still in progress.
Sale Statuses
| Status | Meaning | When to use |
|---|
| Pending | Sale recorded, item not yet shipped | Right after you log the sale |
| Shipped | Item has been sent to the buyer | Once you’ve dropped it off or shipped it out |
| Completed | Sale fully fulfilled, buyer received the item | After the transaction is done |
| Cancelled | Sale was cancelled | If the buyer backed out or the sale fell through |
What Happens When You Cancel a Sale
When a sale is marked Cancelled:
- The unit’s status returns to Listed in Inventory
- The unit reappears on your Storefront
- The revenue and profit from that sale are removed from your metrics
Updating a Status
Click the sale row in the Dashboard to open the detail panel, then change the status from the dropdown. The update takes effect immediately.
Keeping your Pending count low and your Completed count accurate is the best way to make sure your Dashboard metrics reflect reality.
The Pending Sales Card
The Pending Sales stat card on the Dashboard shows how many sales are currently in Pending or Shipped status — items sold but not yet fully fulfilled. Keep an eye on this number to know what still needs to ship.
